Heat distribution of a conventional radiant heater Conventional radiant heaters generate only a relatively small cone of heat, at the centre of which maximum temperatures can range from 40 to as much as 60 °C. For young animals, however, this is too hot and the centre of the nest is often deserted. This wastes valuable energy and generates unnecessary costs. The energy saving switch allows the device‘s power to be adjusted to the need for heat (100 % / 50 % / OFF). Even from a distance, the level is recognisable by the coloured LED indicator lamp.
