Welcome How to measure your horse To provide your horse with the optimal fit, comfort and protection that it deserves, it is important to select the most appropriate rug for your horse. When choosing a Bucas Rug, you must consider two factors: • The measurement of the horse in relation to the size of rug that it needs • The temperature range for which the rug you choose is most suited The following instructions outline a step-by-step approach to measuring your horse for a Bucas rug to provide an optimal fit, comfort and ease of movement. Bucas recommends that the horse be measured from (A) the center point of the chest, over the high point of the shoulder, and then to (B) the rear of the hind leg. Follow these simple steps to find the perfect fit for your horse: How to Measure your Dog To measure your dog correctly for a Bucas dog rug place the measuring tape where the collar usually sits on your dogs neck and measure the length of the dogs back to the start of the tail. This measurement will give you the correct size when purchasing your Bucas dog rug. 6 How to extend your Bucas guarantee • Bucas offers a 2 year guarantee against any manufacturing or material faults but you can extend it to 3 years on our Power, Smartex, Atlantic and Therapy Turnout range of rugs. • All you need is your proof of purchase, like your receipt and the details from the label on the rug. • Your rug must be registered within 30 days of purchase. • Guarantee does not include normal wear and tear and accidental damage. • Limitations apply. Tips for washing your Bucas Rug • Before washing, close all hook-and-loop straps. If they are left open, the rug will latch onto itself and pick up every bit of dirt inside the machine. • Close all surcingles to avoid damaging the washing machine. • For coolers, brush off loose bedding and dirt. • Never wash Bucas products above 30°C; higher temperatures can damage the fabric and reduce performance. • Use Bucas Rug Wash for all Bucas products to keep the maintain Bucas quality. • Use Bucas Rug Conditioner after washing to keep waterproof fabrics performing at their best. • For small nicks or tears, use the Bucas Repair Kit, which includes everything you need for quick, effective fixes. • We recommend washing as infrequently as possible in order to maintain quality over the long term, especially with waterproof products.
