Never install heating cables directly on plastic pipes. The plastic pipe must be completely pasted with an aluminium adhesive tape (item no. 222809) beforehand for better heat transfer. It is important that only plastic pipes that are suitable for hot water installations are used. Otherwise, damage to the pipeline and water leakage can occur. Should pipelines and heating cables be insulated? The pipeline and heating cable should be insulated with a heat-resistant insulation made from mineral wool or foam of max. 13 mm thickness in order to ensure efficient operation of the installation.
