Aesculap used their expertise and engineering skills to thoroughly meet the special demands made on batteries when sheep shearing. The new sheep clipper does of course boast the prestigious Aesculap quality down to the last detail. The electronic controller controls the power flow from battery to machine. When more power is needed, the controller automatically increa- ses the performance and lowers it if necessary. This optimises battery life and ensures the quality of the shearing remains consistently good. Using a brushless direct current motor (EC motor) has the advantage of less heat development, leading to longer battery service life and thus longer overall service life for the clipper. The lack of carbon brushes therefore provides a practically wear-free drive. Intelligent battery technology: provides just enough power that’s needed and switches to “standby” mode after 1 h of inactivity (increases the lifespan of the battery).
