2 Taking responsibility Sustainability and social responsibility at Kerbl Works With Kerbl Works, you are not only choosing high-quality work safety products, but also a brand that takes responsibility and is actively committed to a sustainable future. Sustainability is not just a buzzword for us, but a firmly integrated part of our business model. This is why we have signed up to the „Business Social Compliance Initiative“ (BSCI). The BSCI Code of Conduct, which we follow, includes key principles such as the prohibition of discrimination, fair pay, reasonable working hours, occupational health and safety, environmental protection, ethical business practices and much more. To ensure compliance, the implementation of the code is monitored once a year by an independent testing institute, such as the TÜV. We invest in training to improve our employees‘ and suppliers‘ understanding and implementation of the social requirements of the BSCI Code of Conduct. We also continuously seek dialogue with various interest groups, including governments and trade unions, in order to initiate positive changes in the political, economic and cultural framework conditions and improve working conditions in the long term. In this way, we can ensure that ecological, economic, social and ethical values are respected along our entire value chain. For your safety: non-toxic work gloves from Kerbl Works Awareness of our responsibilities is top of the list at Kerbl Works. At a time when people are faced with harmful substances on a daily basis - be it at work or during leisure time - the legal requirements for safe products increase, but so too does consumer awareness of them. In the past, cheaper protective gloves were often found to contain high levels of harmful substances, such as chromium VI or AZO dyes. Avoiding such situations, and being able to guarantee our customers products that they can rely on, is a challenge for us that we are happy to take on. In cooperation with the Bureau Veritas testing institution, which holds European accreditation, we have therefore developed a detailed catalogue of tests for harmful substances that have been tailored specifically to our various groups of products. The defined criteria go far beyond legal requirements. Long-term compliance with the catalogue of tests is safeguarded through regular sampling. All Kerbl Works gloves pass the demanding tests because we take extreme care when choosing our materials. All of our leather gloves are labelled with a unique batch number (EB-...). This means that every glove can be clearly identified and traced, because we want to offer you maximum transparency. In future, the requirements regarding the absence of harmful substances are likely to become even stricter - not only in Germany, but throughout Europe with the REACH regulation. Thanks to our partnership with Bureau Veritas, we at Kerbl feel that we are ideally equipped for this. You can rely on us: We will continue to supply you with first-class, harmful substance-free products that you can feel safe with.
