One of these is our Think Green series. Together with our partners, we have developed a sustainable range of gloves. For every pair of these gloves, 2.6 plastic bottles are recycled, saving 28 g of CO2 and 1.84 litres of water compared to conventional production. The packaging for the range is also 100 % sustainable, with recycled cardboard, paper tape, biodegradable plastic bags and green dyes. Chrome-free tanning - for people and the environment The vast majority of our leather gloves are labelled with „Chrome-free tanning“. We deliberately avoid the use of chrome salts in the leather tanning process. This enables us to guarantee the safety of these products for our customers and protect the environment. This is because chrome salts can enter the environment via waste water during the tanning process and pollute soil and water. Large-scale product recalls due to harmful substances in leather occur time and again in the retail sector. This is because chromium VI, which is harmful to health, can form in chrome-tanned leather if it is stored incorrectly or exposed to UV radiation. By dispensing with chrome tanning, we exclude the formation of this harmful substance from the outset and supply safe products.
