Water bowl technology for stable and pasture

18 Frost-protection heating lines • prevent water pipes from freezing • thermostat in the heating cable switches the cable on automatically What to remember about 230 V heating cables: • installation must be carried out by a qualified professional in accordance with VDE0100 • always attach the heating cable to the underside of the pipe • the water pipe must be earthed • 230 V heating cables are ready to connect and should be connected to a power supply with a 30 mA residual current circuit breaker • the heating cables must not be shortened • the heating cable must not be 600 mm shorter or longer than the pipe section to be heated • excess length can be wound around the end of the pipe (note that a winding distance of at least 50 mm must be maintained between coils) • do not bend heating cables and note the maximum bending radius of approx. 20 mm What should you consider when using plastic water pipes? Never install heating cables directly on plastic pipes. The plastic pipe must be completely pasted with an aluminium adhesive tape (item no. 222809) beforehand for better heat transfer. It is important that only plastic pipes that are suitable for hot water installations are used. Otherwise, damage to the pipeline and water leakage can occur. Pipe Ø 15 mm Ø 22 mm ½“ Ø 28 mm ¾“ Ø 35 mm 1“ Ø 42 mm 1 ¼“ Ø 48 mm 1 ½“ Ø 60 mm 2“ Ø 76 mm 2 ½“ with insulation (max. 13 mm) frost-resistant to - 45 °C - 45 °C - 40 °C - 40 °C - 35 °C - 30 °C - 25 °C - 20 °C Frost Protection Heating • heating cables can be secured to the pipe with insulating tape or aluminium tape (222809) • the heating cable must only be used on plastic resistant water lines approved for hot water that are always filled with water • if using plastic pipes, wrap aluminium tape (222809) around the pipe before routing the heating cable • if using plastic pipes, please pay attention to the separate, specific assembly instructions • insulate the pipeline and heating cable with non-flammable insulation of max. 13 mm • attach the heating cable thermostat to the coldest part of the pipe • do not use 230 V heating cables in the bite area of animals Should pipelines and heating cables be insulated? The pipeline and heating cable should be insulated with a heat-resistant insulation made from mineral wool or foam of max. 13 mm thickness in order to ensure efficient operation of the installation.
