45 Qualität für Futtermittel ColostroStart colostrum management Feeding the calf during the first few days of life, or even immediately after birth, is crucial for its subsequent development. Colostrum contains a higher proportion of immunoglobulins and nutrients than normal cow’s milk. The newborn calf must therefore be given a large quantity of high-quality colostrum straight away. It is advisable to set up a colostrum bank containing frozen colostrum. This ensures that a supply of high-quality colostrum is always available. If the quality of the colostrum is poor after birth (e.g. in heifers) or the quantity is insufficient, the frozen colostrum can be used. The products in our ColostroStart colostrum management system help you to provide your newborn calves with an optimal supply of colostrum. The aluminium pouches (4 litres) are easy to fill and can be pasteurised (optional), frozen and reheated without any problems. To feed the colostrum, simply screw on the feeding teat or the drench probe. 14640 ref. no. description € 14640 ColostroStart Set 10 1 45 14641 ColostroStart set 50 1 16 ref. no. description moq pieces / unit € 14642 ColostroStartBAG 1 pack 5 / pack 1/20 14644 teat with union nut 1 14648 Probe with screw fastener 1 14647 ColostroFILLER filling aid 1 14644 14647 To make filling the pouches easier, we offer the ColostroFILLER filling aid.
